Some of my best pictures from my trip this month!

Taken at Shamwari Private Game Reserve on the Eastern Cape; Madikwe while staying at Mateya and Jaci’s Lodge; and Marakele while staying at Marataba.

I’ve been to Kruger and Sabi Sands before, and the above are all malaria-free areas that still have the Big Five-although leopard is very hard to spot in these parts.

The physical landscapes are also VASTLY different than Kruger and Sabi! These have wide open plains, valleys and vistas-much more like East Africa. Marakele is probably the most beautiful game reserve I’ve ever been to! Absolutely stunning.

LISTEN to this king calling! Once you hear this sound in real life, you will NEVER forget it. You feel it in your chest! Excuse the grainy video, it was actually pouring out with low light. Gives me goosebumps to watch even now.
